The Construction of a Positive Learning Environment through the Use of Sensitive Topics in Language Education

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I discuss the issue of using sensitive topics in language education in the form of language materials. Since language play and humour encourage a positive learning environment, this is a good reason to apply them to teach sensitive topics, from which we can temporarily distance ourselves through these mechanisms.
