GENERAL ASPECTS OF URBAN LANDSCAPE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Summary/Abstract: The urban landscape of the Republic of Moldova bears the imprint of historical, political-administrative and socio-economic changes. There is no urban landscape in the true sense of the word but here are inserted components of the natural environment modified by human, agricultural and industrial landscapes that give to the landscape a complex character. It consists predominantly of one-story houses surrounded by agricultural plots, creating confusion about the landscape on which our gaze falls. In the cities, only multilevel apartment blocks and industrial buildings on the outside of the settlement can tell us more about their role and function.
