Summary/Abstract: The type, the intensity and the rhythm of actual modeling processes in the hydrographic basin of Vâlsan are being influenced directly or indirectly by the association of several factors within each morphostructural unit, with morphological, hydrologic and bio-pedo-climatic differences depending on the area. The natural setting of the morpho-structural units within the Basin of Vâlsan River entails the differences, the manifestation and the action of natural factors. The physicalgeographic features of the rocks, determines a different behavior when facing the modeling action of natural factors. The intensity of geomorphologic processes manifests itself differently, based on the slope firstly, but also on the orientation direction of the slopes, relief energy, the depth of the fragmentation and lithology. The complex morphology of the basin determined the natural setting of the bio-pedoclimatic elements. An important contribution was brought by the anthropic factors. Building of human settlements, roads, using of the lands, determined the acceleration, in majority of cases, of the rhythm of the modeling processes deployment in some cases, becoming a triggering factor. The morphodynamics of the Basin of Vâlsan River is typical for the rivers with springs in the alpine sector, the deployment of the principal processes, being different from one sector to another.
