Summary/Abstract: The author stresses on achievements acquired in 2016. English Studies at NBU introduced an optional Open Peer Review system. Reviewers now have the option to select whether their reviews are anonymous or open, and if they give permission to disclose their names. That year the Editorial Board also introduced a Doctoral section to give young researchers the opportunity to share their innovative ideas and research findings. The policy of the journal was revised to state explicitly that all published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution - Non-Commercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
