Pro-developmental concept of a company based on the fourth industrial revolution operating in the era of knowledge and information

Summary/Abstract: The idea on which pro-developmental concept of company operations in the era of knowledge and innovations is rooted in the fourth industrial revolution and was developed on the basis of the third industrial revolution that involved the automation of particular processes. The objective of this paper is the identification and evaluation of influence the fourth industrial revolution has on the functioning of contemporary enterprises in the era of knowledge and information. This is an information-illustrative paper dealing with changes that are inspired by the Industry 4.0 concept and affect operations of industrial companies. Industry 4.0 concept is about interconnection of devices within the framework of digital ecosystems and deals with deeper integration within horizontal and vertical value chains. This processes foster the generation of a new model of company operation described as Model 4.0. Among the results of introduction of the above mentioned changes are products or services better adjusted to the needs and expectations of a client. These effects can be achieved by the proper analysis of data from the market.
