Summary/Abstract: Eminescu proved that he was a professional analyst of universal and comparative literature, an authentic interpreter, anticipating the great teacher-scholars of the twentieth century (Tudor Vianu, Eugen Lovinescu, George Călinescu, Zoe Dumitrescu-Buşulenga, Edgar Papu etc.). In his view, Shakespeare is a role model.
