Archiving of radio activities – challenges and opportunities for small, non-commercial broadcasters

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, radio archives are not only an important part of the cultural heritage of mankind, but also a key step for reaching the audience and developing production process. This article presents various examples of practices relevant to community radio in Europe and nonprofit radio initiatives in Poland. Conclusions are being drawn by using licensed and internet student stations as case studies.
