Informal institutions on the Polish labour market

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the identification and the analysis of the informal institutions on the Polish labour market. In the article is used the D.C. North approach to the institutions. The representative of New Institutional Economics introduced the informal and formal institutions classification. The starting point is the review of definitions with the special consideration of informal institutions and culture. Secondly informal institutions on the labour market are identified. In the next part the characteristic of the choosen informal institutions on the labour market is performed. The sources were books, journals, reports and statistics published in English and Polish.
