Summary/Abstract: The magazine „Iris” was the organ of the Literary and Artistic Association in Lviv. It was published in 1899–1900 under the supervision of Stanisław Schnur-Pepłowski and Michał Rolle. Its contents consisted of poetry, prose, popular science articles and the chronicle of theater, music and artistic life in Lviv and Cracow. The aim of this article is to analyze the content of the magazine in a thematic sense. It also aims to investigate the role it played in the intellectual activation of the Lviv environment.
