Summary/Abstract: Application of 1864 land reform was one of the most important laws enacted during the reign of Alexandru Ioan Cuza. Dependant peasants were freed from the obligations upon landlords and were given land. Giving land to dependent peasants from Zăicoiu, Rădineşti and Obârşia is one of dozens of aspects of the application of the 1864 law on rural property.
