Educating gentility in the light of memories and the novels from the epoch of king Stanislaus Augustus Poniatowski

Summary/Abstract: Childhood and youth were discussed in memories and novels. A lot of interesting opinions were expressed as well. A lot of faults of education were noticed at family home, but also in the school system of 18th century. The advantages of that system were being emphasized too. The most important advantage was the upbringing for the needs of the country.
