Summary/Abstract: This article presents a series of major features of the political discourse, as well as the manipulation techniques that people involved in politics resort to. The political communication favours the informational exchanges between the actors in the socio-political field. The politicians tend to present their platforms in the sense of creating a favourable image of themselves, while the consumers of politics access the available information. The communication ensures the integration of the participants in a dynamic environment, accessible to the proliferation of the ideas and solutions that circulate through all the channels open to information. Expression of the social modernity, the political communication has caught the specialists’ attention, while the development of the democratic system transformed the politics into a domain of public interest.
