Summary/Abstract: The present article considers interjections in the speech of different characters in the detective novel “The Mystery of King’s Abbot” by A. Christie. The personages are inclined to use various interjections distinguishing their speech from others. It proves that an interjection may be looked upon as the means of speech characterization.
