Summary/Abstract: The present study devoted to the lobiri first names attempts to understand the mechanism of construction and formation of the lobiri first names. In so doing, from a corpus of about 500 items (composed of first names), one realizes the lexical and morphological complexities that contain certain first names. The fact is that not all lobiri first names are necessarily modeled on the order of birth of children from the same mother. Indeed, while certain first names emanate from the birht order, others are the result of an event, of initiatory rites, or even of a divinity. Moreover, the objective of this analysis is to propose a description that highlights the typology, the morphological properties and the semantic value of the lobiri first names.
