Summary/Abstract: Lucrarea reevaluează observațiile echipei de indexatori de la BCU Cluj privind practica acestora în utilizarea vedetelor de subiect RAMEAU. Decizia utilizării autorităților RAMEAU în indexarea subiectelor a fost facilitată de sistemul Aleph 500, un sistem capabil să lucreze în format UNIMARC. În plus, acoperirea largă oferită de RAMEAU este convenabilă pentru o bibliotecă universitară având colecții din toate domeniile cunoașterii. Mai mult, latura lingvistică a activității a fost considerată ca lipsită de probleme datorită familiei lingvistice comune a românei cu franceza. Totuși, de la teorie la practică drumul nu este întotdeauna neted, dificultățile de natură lexicală, sintactică și semantică apărute în activitatea de indexare fiind evidențiate în lucrare. The paper revaluates the remarks of the indexing team at the Central University Library of Cluj regarding their practice in using RAMEAU subject authotities. The decision of accommodating RAMEAU authorities in subject indexing was imposent and facilitated by the aquisition of Aleph 500, a library system able to cope with UNIMARC formats. Additionally, RAMEAU's wide coverage was appriciated as conveniant to a university library with collections from all fields of knowledge. Moreover, the linguistic style of the work was thought to be not troublesome given the common language family of French and Romanian. However, from theoretical considerations to practical application the way is not always smooth and difficulties appeared in the indexing work of which the laxical, syntactical and semantic ones were dealt with in the paper.
