Allamek and his contribution to the study of tafsir

Summary/Abstract: This paper illustrates the contribution to the study of the Qur’an and particularly to the study of the tafsir by Muhammad b. Musa al-Bosnawi – Allamek, through his review of the commentary of the Qur’an by the renowned scholar Nasr al-Din al-Baydawi. The paper offers basic bio-data about this scholar, his works in the area of tafsir and the way in which Allamek presented his analysis of Al-Baydawi’s interpretation of some of the surahs. This allows an examination of Allamek’s orientation in his analysis of the issues of understanding and commenting on the content of the last Book of God.
