Summary/Abstract: The author of the article considers the stylization of natural prototypes as one of the main visual means of graphic design, and, especially, advertising graphics. As a main methodological approach to the above said the author defines typification as means of artistic generalization and classifies methods of stylization in the context of artistic form-making. The scientist pays attention to the important functions of colour in advertising.
