Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the issue of organized annihilation of libraries or book collections regardless of whether they are private or public property. Since this is of common occurrence in the history of human civilization, therefore different factors are crucial according to the background of the given period. The main point of the study is to demarcate the time-tested models of destruction. For this purpose various historical examples are systematized and compared in order to find the analogous structures of this detrimental practice.
