Women in Transylvanian Theatre - a Minority within a Minority

Summary/Abstract: How/why a minority within the minority? Katalin Czvikker's study of theatre sociology shows the data of institutional structures proving that women's leadership is limited in theatre. The research studies fifteen years of nine Transylvanian repertory theatres, from management to the status of creators and spectators, with precise data showing the distribution of traditional male-female roles in academic education and theatre work, while occasionally pointing out tendencies of change.
