Summary/Abstract: The author proposes to consider the law as an information model, which reflecting the peculiarities of the legal behavior of the social subject in the context of legal reality, which is reproduced as summarized in the legal norm. The law can be regarded as an abstract symbolic models of social behavior that is different from the actual actions, events or phenomena, but at the same time this model endowed with essential characteristics for modeling (in this case – law-making) and within these tasks completely replaces derived object. The law is also the kind of intellectually imaginary object that materialized into the text, which replaces the original object in the process of implementation, while preserving the most important typical symptoms of the original for this process. In other words, this is a simplified representation of a real object, process or phenomenon (legal validity).
