Summary/Abstract: Bernard Bischoff was Professor of Medieval Latin Studies at the University in Munich. Hisimmense work was concentrated on the manuscript studies of the Early Middle Ages and the Carolingian Period. Not only the Script, but also the Codex, the Libraries and Latin Literatureof these times were in focus of his interest. His chef d´oeuvre, the Catalogue of the Manuscriptsof the 9th Century, was completed after his death. Some bibliographical referenciesmake possible detailed information.
