Palaeoslavistics at Service to the Idea

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the relations between research in the field of palaeoslavistics and the ideological expectations and demands of the dissidents in the Slavic countries. The author points out the way Slavic studies were subjugated to various ideologies. The main focus is on the Russian paleoslavistics in Soviet union and its heavy way to release of the Marxist-Leninist control. The positions of a number of famous Russian scientists are described and the main topics eligible in this period are indicated. A detailed analyse of the discipline in Bulgaria is made and especially of the conditions in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century is made. A brief description We The process of addiction science from ideological requirements in Serbian and Macedonian palaeoslavistics is briefly outlined, as well as in other Slavic countries.
