HEALTH BEHAVIORS IN THE PRISON SERVICE AS COMPARED TO OTHER UNIFORMED GROUPS

Summary/Abstract: The human health is by many research one of the main factor of the life satisfaction. Unfortunately, other research shows, that we cure our health in very limited way. In the occupancies which are defined dangerous, like the prison warden the level of the health condition should be very high. The efficiency on their workplace and quality of life of the prison warden depends on their health. The health is directly related with their attendance to workplace, quitting form the job, stress level and job satisfaction. To identify the health habits of the prison warden using the Index of Health Habits of Z. Jurczynski. The research results shows that the overage levels of health habits and its components of the prison warden are normal and are not different from the results of those of freeman’s, the policeman’s and custom officers. The conclusion is that healthy lifestyle is the field where a lot still may be done.
