Personal development and some of its threats

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of the threats for the personal development in the context of some culture trends in the present times. The authoress assumes that ego-reduction process towards transcendentalization - after the settlement the adjustment (socialization) and the ego-identity (personalization) - is the main feature of the personal development. In connection with that hedonistic and consumptive model of our individualistic culture seems to be the threating for the personal development.
