Summary/Abstract: The author of the article examines a set of general and special-criminological measures, consistent, systematic and comprehensive implementation of which, according to the author, will not admit of criminal offenses in the prisons, reduce the probability of their occurrence. The author proposed to consider the prevention of crime in correctional institutions as a set of measures that provide for the organization and implementation of activities in accordance with those phenomena and processes that contribute to the commission of crimes occurring among inmates.
