THE ICONOGRAPHIC SCHEDULE OF THE SĂRACA MONASTERY (II)

Summary/Abstract: We are in the reverential year of 2017, when our Church cherishes the church icon painters. On this occasion, when our eparchy is also at a time of celebration, in the following lines, I will try to set forth a complete presentation of the iconographic schedule of the wall church within the Săraca Monastery (13th century), a monument which is emblematic for our eparchy, from an iconographic and cultural perspective. The presentation herein shall be divided into two parts so as to be able to embed the full iconographic schedule.
