Summary/Abstract: The article considers hylozoism of the Renaissance natural philosophers as the doctrine of the spirituality of matter in line with natural philosophy of that time and pantheism which identifies God and nature. Genesis of hylozoism knowledge indicates that a vivid supporter of hylozoism in the Renaissance was Giordano Bruno, who affirmed the existence of the soul in all things.
