Summary/Abstract: Sándor Kerekes, professor at the Department of Environmental Economics and Technologies at Corvinus University of Budapest was conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Warsaw School of Economics on 29 March 2012. What follows is the laudatio of Professor Kerekes by Professor Janina Jóxwiak, as well as Professor Kerekes’s speech, entitled ‘Fifty years of environmentalism’.
