Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the history of investigation of Ukrainian dialects in Hungary. The authors present the scientific achievements of V. Dóhovics, L. Csopey, L. Dezső, E. Baleczky, I. Udvari, A. Zoltán, and M. Kocsis in the field of Ukrainian dialectology in chronological order. It is stressed that historical dialectology has been in the center of attention of Hungarian Slavists for a long time.
