Types of student nicknames

Summary/Abstract: The proposed research project explores the structure of nicknames functioning in a microcommunity of young people connected with academic environment. It also aims to present and describe multiple ways of creating nicknames, the influence of media and mass culture promoted by it. It also touches the subject of foreign elements, mainly English, penetrating the everyday language of young people.
