Summary/Abstract: The concept of building a silk-producing plant near Szadek appeared in 1954. The factory was to consist of a weaving plant (equipped with 580 looms) and some auxiliary departments. Eventually the project was cancelled and the factory was built in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
