Summary/Abstract: The emergence of the press is closely related to the discovery of national identities and nationalist movements. Journalistic practices, develops common thoughts and shared feelings in societies. In Europe, printing capitalism standardized dialects, developed a common language, and created favorable conditions for the creation of national consciousness. After the second half of the 19th century, Turkish communities outside of Turkey met with innovative movements and experienced a national awakening. With the development of press activities in the Turks under Russia's domination, the spread of national identity and nationalist ideas became evident.
