Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to review the scientific papers devoted to Constantine of Preslav – from the discovery of the first of his works and the writer‘s introduction to the history of literature, through the contributions of the Russian Slavic Studies and the achievements of Bulgarian and foreign medieval studies, to the latest studies on the Preslavian writer and his work. It outlines the main patters of Bishop Constantine‘s activity research during different periods from the beginning of the 19th century onwards.
