Summary/Abstract: The study starts by making some comments on the meaning of the concept of „emerging power”, listing several basic features which, put together, shape such a power status of an actor of the international arena. Then, the study clearly states – and proves – that none of the Arabian-Muslim states in the Greater Middle East has, developed well enough, all the features of what we call “emerging power”. The text present with many significant details the situation of Iran and Egypt and later on analyses the struggle for regional supremacy which strongly influences the Palestinian dossier.
