MANASTIRLI ISMAIL HAKKI AND HIS VIEWS OF NUBUVVET

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the writings of Manastırlı İsmail Hakkı about the subject "nübüvvet". İsmail Hakkı had shown himself in the times of the Ottoman State, with his book titled Mevâidü'lİnâm fî Berahîni Akâid'l-İslâm. Manastırlı İsmail Hakkı, is a person who came to the world in the middle of the 19th century and devoted his life to reading and studying. Towards the end of the same century, he came to the level of being seen as a great scholar by the people of science. He wrote and spoke not only in the religious and scientific field, but also in political and social fields, and undertook effective duties in cases. In this work, firstly will be given the information about life of Manastırlı İsmail Hakkı, then will be translated and the works which he has written will be mentioned briefly. Afterwards, in Mevâidü'l- Inâm fî Berahîni Akâid'l-İslâm, it will be tried to analyze how Manastırlı İsmail Hakkı dealt with issues related to prophethood, which is one of the three main themes of the Qur'anic identity.
