Summary/Abstract: Channel has been a famous and very successful brand for more than one hundred years. The present contribution highlights its history and the major factors of its success and persistance. The main branding and marketing strategies are presented pointing out the creativity and novelty of a stroke of genius. A few psychological aspects are put forward as well. The symbols and historic significances receive an adequate approach helping the overall understanding.
