The Crime of Denunciation and Extraordinary People’s Court Litoměřice 1945–1948

Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the crime of denunciation in the Czech lands during the Nazi occupation and punishment of this crime after the Second World War. It focuses on cases examined by the Extraordinary People's Court in Litoměřice between the years 1945-1948. Denunciation was one of the most serious crimes of collaboration and it was frequently discussed by Extraordinary People's Courts in the Czech lands. The text of the study presents the results of research based on an analysis of judicial files and provides statistical data of the punishment of crime of denunciation before this court. The Research focuses on the social, ethnic and gender structure of the defendants.
