Summary/Abstract: Principles of counterparty risk management in a commercial bank, in particular concerning the treasury limit utilization as a derivatives collateral incorporate provisions included in Poland and the European Union legislation and recommendations. The aim of the study is to draw attention to the selected legal basis regulating cooperation in this area, in particular to the provisions a rising from the A Recommendation of polish supervisor and to the key violations of contractual terms as a condition to premature transaction termination.
