Summary/Abstract: Regularities of morphological variability of the Hungarian ground beetle (Carabus (Pachystus) hungaricus scythus Motschulsky, 1847), listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, inhabited National Reserve “Khortitsa” were studied. Integrally, the population is characterised by near Gauss distribution of main body measurements. Maximal morphological variability is registered for males. In average they are less on 5.9 % by trunk indices and on 3.4 % − by appendages’ dimensions. It is emphasised the necessity of the population monitoring for its genetic and spatial isolation.
