Servitization of Manufacturing. Conclusions for Poland

Summary/Abstract: Trends in the global economy, including in particular the priority of building a knowledge-based economy and the development of new technologies modify the structure of sectors. Manufacturing operates in the conditions of dynamically developing service sector. The main objective of the study is to diagnose and recognize the current situation in this area. The study focused mainly on selected issues regarding to threesector structure of the economy, the complementarity of goods and services and the process of servitization of manufacturing. The effort to identify changes in the global and Polish economy is based on the descriptive analytic method. The result of the study is an attempt to indicate directions of development with respect to programming of economic policy in Poland. The undertaken research problem fits into the current discussion about the course and extent of the economic policy impact in the modern economy.
