Summary/Abstract: The material of this issue is a selection of lectures held at the conference of the Language and Communication Doctoral Program within the Doctoral School of Linguistics of the University of Pécs. The conference, in line with the main objective of the doctoral program, considered the cultural analysis of continuities and discontinuities observed between "old" and "new" media culture. How do traditional media and media genres change in the technological, social, and cultural environment defined by new media? What institutional and organizational transformations occur in the different stages of cultural production and reception? What new cultural norms are created when consuming media culture products? Among other things, the answers to these questions were based on case studies based on various empirical researches.
