Summary/Abstract: Caring ethos is a result of natural development of mankind and has influenced on quality of social life. The ethos expresses through concern about welfare of people and giving them assistance in hard situations too. Obligation to help needy is a result of development of citizenship, social work is practical side of this care and this is an answer of social demand on assistance activity. Implementers of assistance activity are social workers, who particular area of professional activity is another person. Subject of work makes that toward social workers are formulated high expectations of ethical and moral. Professional ethos and ethics as carriers of worth, ideas and principles affect on behavior of social workers and this entire professional group. They are embedded in society setting standards of conduct. The concept of ethics is referred to description of individual activity defining the behavior model. The concept of ethos is used for description of a system norm and values a community. Ethical system regulates quality of contacts on the level of social relations and individual attitude of members of the community. Principles, norms and values organize quality of relationships in areas of social intercourse, attitude towards himself, closest and farthest surroundings. In professional social work developing and shaping awareness of professional ethics and ethos permit a properly implement entrusted with the task by social worker.
