The Specificity of Teacher Further Education in University Studies

Summary/Abstract: In the process of rapid knowledge society development, lifelong learning becomes a particularly important precondition for self-expression and self-realisation for every member of the society. Purposefully organised further education can facilitate an adult in developing the need for permanent self-education. The article analyses the area of teacher further education and self-education, the specificity of pedagogical groups in educology studies at university. It aims to investigate the attitudinal dispositions towards further university studies of pedagogical group students who already carry out practical educological activity. Analysing practical research data, general tendencies of the choice of educological studies are emphasised, the necessity of study program optimisation is highlighted.
