Summary/Abstract: Terrorism represents one of the most serious security threats for the whole human society at the first half of the second decade of the 21st century. No country, society or social system is immune to terroristic activities in these days. Terroristic attacks are performed in all regions of the world and present daily menace for a large number of people in many developed and developing countries. Unfortunately, nowadays, due to globalization and so-called reduction of distances, terrorism can hit anyone, anywhere and anytime. Simultaneously, it causes tremendous material and financial damages and brings considerable human loses and hardly curable mental wounds. And those are the reasons why authors, in their article, deal with theoretical and terminological problems related to this contemporary global security threat.
