Summary/Abstract: Maths classes have always been the terrifying confrontation and fright to primary school children. This applies to children from Year 1 to Year 4. Problems emerge at those moments when abstractions overwhelm the abilities of a pupil who conceives the problem, that is, they have hard times in abridging the manipulative/concrete concepts to abstract concepts. This occurs for reasons because the transition in context and methodology is made too soon and is not in accordance with the pace of their development in learning the visual/ motoric to abstract thinking. These problems manifest themselves in contexts such as units of length, approximates, fractions or theoretic tasks. Let us only recall the last one enumerated which were, for many of us, responsible for headaches of our parents and of us as well. The problems of this kind can, to a great extent, be subdued if dry theoretic tasks are turned into multimedia language and animation. The wellknow proverb goes: a singe photo speaks thousands of words and which we have extended through experiential practice and work with multimedia/animation and that goes now: "a single animation speaks more than one thousand images". The acknowledgement of this applies to Maths as well, which shall be displayed through illustrative examples.
