Summary/Abstract: Jenő Dsida was a very talented Transylvanian Hungarian poet in the 20th century. He wrote several letters to the Transylvanian bishop Károly Gusztáv Mailáth who was known as a great supporter of the Catholic schools and pupils, young men. Th e letters show that the bishop was familiar with the young man’s poems and appreciated him. Th e bishop cared a lot for the spiritual development of the young man. Dsida went for confession to the bishop several times. Th e bishop also supported him fi nancially. Th e relationship contributed to the spiritual advancement of young Dsida.
