Summary/Abstract: In the second half of XX century heterodox definitions of truth found recognition in scientific research. This development was pivotal for both theorizing and applied research. Economics was not exempt from the changes in the philosophy of science, however the orthodox definition of truth seems to predominate in economic theory.
