Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Comparison of the capital structure of SMEs on the NewConnect market in the years 2010–2013. Design/methodology/approach – To achieve the objective of the article was used an analysis of the literature and an analysis of financial and comparison of different indicators for the 75 companies listed on the New- Connect market, which published the full report for 2010–2013. Findings – There is evidence proving that the capital structure of the companies under review reflects the theory of substitution of capital.
