Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to highlight the open learning as a research object of the teaching and learning process. The objectives are: to present an open learning concept, to isolate the characteristics and research dimensions of open learning process. Aiming to achieve the purpose, the scientific literature was analysed and findings were summarised.
