Summary/Abstract: The article presents the fate of the property left by Jan Dowgird (Jonas Daugirdas), Palatine of Vilnius. Only a part of his possessions was inherited by his descendants: son Andruszko Dowgirdowicz and two daughters: Anna (Anuszka), married first to Juszko Gojcewicz, then to Iwan Ilinicz, and Olena (Oluszka), wife of kniaź Pietko Świrski. The fate of the estates given to these daughters and inherited by their children is a perfect example of establishing or depreciation of the importance of the respective families of their husbands.
